Clothing: Pack lightweight, breathable clothing for warm days, along with layers for cooler evenings. Comfortable hiking shoes are essential for exploring the islands’ rugged terrain.
Other Essentials: Bring swimwear, sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses for protection against the sun. A waterproof jacket is also recommended due to occasional rain, especially in the Azores.

Azores: Popular activities include hiking, whale watching, swimming in natural pools, visiting volcanic craters, and exploring tea plantations.
Madeira: In Madeira, you can enjoy hiking along levadas (irrigation channels), exploring botanical gardens, whale and dolphin watching, and experiencing local cuisine and wine.

The trip includes a mix of activities, some of which are physically demanding, such as hiking and exploring rugged terrains

Both regions offer a variety of fresh seafood, local cheeses, and traditional dishes. In the Azores, try the "cozido das Furnas," a stew cooked underground using volcanic heat. Madeira is famous for its "espada com banana" (scabbard fish with banana) and "bolo do caco" (a type of garlic bread). Both islands also offer unique wines and desserts.
